Character Wear: Amelie Poulain

This week I’ve decided to write about another movie character, one of my favorites, Amelie Poulain.  Amelie is one of my idols because she’s sweet, kind, shy, and quirky, but can be feisty if pushed., and overall she believes in love wholeheartedly!

Her style is unique, quirky, and a bit Parisian, just like her! She’s very slight and always shows off her amazing collarbones in wide, deep v shirts or sweaters.  I picked a red sweater because if she had a signature color, it would be red.  I paired the sweater with a very mild A line mini skirt in black.  Black strappy gladiators are a slightly more fashionable version of the work shoes she favors, and a stone bracelet reminds us that one of Amelie’s favorite things is skipping stones.  Dark maroon lipstick finishes off the look.  Pin your hair back so that its off your face and shoulders so you can show off your own gorgeous collarbones!  Amelie, the sweet, shy, Parisian girl next door found friendship and love once she opened her heart to it, and you can do the same! Let her style give you all the confidence you need!
