Fashion News: Gucci Goes on Tour with Florence Welch

She recently made headlines when word broke of her personal performance at Blake Lively and Ryan Reynold’s super-secret southern wedding. Now her name is next to one of fashion’s most prestigious labels. English indie-queen and fashion’s favorite red-head, Florence Welch, has banded with the brilliance of Gucci for her upcoming tour. The lady rocker will be dressed in head-to-toe looks from Gucci’s autumn/winter 2012 collection during her shows. This is the second time Florence has paired with the Italian fashion house for stage attire.

“Seeing Florence evolve as an artist since her last tour has been truly inspiring, and I was delighted to work with her on this new wardrobe,” Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini told Harper’s Bazaar.

Giannini said Gucci wants to create a romantic aesthetic with a modern twist for Florence’s on-stage style. The musician’s chic darkness and fascinating sensuality has been the inspiration for her upcoming Gucci looks.

“I was immediately drawn to the drama of the collection when I first saw it on the runway,” Florence Welch told Woman’s Wear Daily. “I’m so grateful to Frida and feel very fortunate to be collaborating with Gucci again.”
