Funky Fixes: Recycled Reading
I don’t know what it is about books, especially old ones, but I absolutely love them. There is something rich and unique hidden in the pages of a well loved book. So in our modern day of Kindles and iPads, what’s a book-loving girl to do? Make vintage books functional, of course!
Old books can be transformed in a variety of ways to become functional decorative pieces. Stacked books can serve as lamp stand or a pedestal for a picture frame. With the help of a few brackets and a drill, books can become a book shelf (slightly ironic, isn’t it?). And finally, if you don’t mind doing a little damage, books can be transformed into a unique home for potted plants.
