Fashion News: Fashion News Roundup of 2011.

2011 has been an amazing year for Fashion News! From Royal Weddings to Amazing collaborations and shocking departures, it is surely a year to remember in the Fashion World!

This year we saw two Royal Weddings which brought the fashion world to a whole new level! We saw Prince William of United Kingdom and Kate Middleton tie the knot but also Charlene Wittstock and Prince Albert II of Monaco. People were amazed by the fashion scene at both Royal weddings and let’s not forget the two amazing royal wedding gowns! Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen designed the stunning gown for Kate Middleton and Giorgio Armani created a beautiful elegant gown for Charlene Wittstock. The weddings were the talk of the town for months and they were definitely two fashion moments of 2011 that will be remembered for years to come.

2011 was also full of major designer collaborations. Missoni designed an amazing collection for Target which had customers in such a frenzy that the Target website crashed! Derek Lamb also collaborated with eBay in 2011 and designed a limited edition dress collection for the site. Let’s not forget the amazing collection of Versace for H&M; this collection was a major fashion creation that sold out in just a few hours in cities all over the world! I look forward to the collaborations of 2012 but they have a lot to live up to from 2011!

The year also contained some shocking departures as Christophe Decarnin departed Balmain; Hannah Macgibbon was replaced at Chloe by Pringle’s Claire Waight Keller and let’s not forget John Galliano, who was dismissed from Christian Dior after 15 years for allegedly making anti-Semitic comments at a couple in a bar in Paris.

2011 was definitely full of fashion moments that will be remembered for a long time! I wonder what 2012 has to hold in the World of Fashion? Let’s wait and see!
