Beauty Box: Wet ‘n’ Wild MegaLiner

The popularity of shows like Mad Men and Pan Am has revived the style of the 1960s in the past few years, most notably in the comeback of cat eye makeup. Popularized by sex symbols like Brigitte Bardot and Sophia Loren, cat eye makeup gives the wearer instant sex appeal with just a swish of the eyeliner.

However, it can be difficult to achieve a good cat eye and the easiest way to get the look you want is to choose the right makeup for the job. Liquid eyeliner is essential to perfecting the cat eye. Solid eyeliner just does not give you the same ease of application for the wing and it is too smudgy.

Wet ‘n’ Wild’s MegaLiner, though cheap, is perfect for creating this look. The applicator, instead of being a solid stub like many eyeliners, is actually a bunch of tiny bristles. This allows you to have more control over the thickness of the line because you can change the thickness by merely changing the angle of application. The bristles and consistency of the product make it better than many liquid eyeliners at gliding over the lid. The product is also very fast drying and long lasting. I wear it all day without ever having to reapply, yet it is still super easy to remove before bed.

I highly recommend this product for those looking to try out the cat eye look but aren’t sure if it’s something they’ll want to do everyday. It’s so cheap that you won’t feel like you lost money on it if you don’t like the look on you, but it will also give you a greater ease of trying the look out in the first place.
