Fashion News: CFDA Awards 2012
The CFDA (Council of the Fashion Designers of America) Awards for 2012 took place on June 4. Many designers and celebrities such as Dakota Fanning and Kate Bosworth turned out for the event which also happened to be the 50th Anniversary of the CFDA. This year’s winner for womenswear, which was quite a surprise, was design duo Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen! They received Womenswear Designer of the Year for their fashion label The Row. Other top winners from the night included Billy Reed, who received Menswear Designer of the Year and Reed Krakoff, who was awarded Accessory Designer of the Year.
