Kingsley’s Corner: An Introduction

Kingsley’s Corner: An Introduction

Hi there, my name is Kingsley. I’m so excited to be featured on CARBON [The Blog]! This is MY corner and I will be sharing my fun journeys with all of you from my own kitty perspective.

For those of you who don’t already know me: I am the coolest, chunkiest, fluffiest cat around. I currently have two moms named Hilary and Brittany. They are the best moms in the entire world.
Here’s a little about my moms: (They’re sisters!) Hilary and Brittany both live with me and both attend ASU. I moved in with my new moms a little over a year ago when my ex-parents had to move to Washington. I remember the day I met Hilary and Brittany. At first I was a little nervous, but I could tell they were happy to have me. Hilary and Brittany live in a three bedroom condo. When I first moved here, I had my own room! My moms even drew me a sign that read, Kingsley’s Castle. I had my litter box, a small bed and all my toys in there. It was great! Hilary and Brittany always give me a lot of attention. They’re always petting me, brushing me and then I learned that they are obsessed with taking pictures. I had no idea I would practically become a model living here. I wasn’t sure if I was the most photogenic at first, but my moms can sure take a good picture of me!

Just so I can bring everyone up to speed, I’ll spill some juicy stories of what’s been going on since I moved in with Hil and Brit. Let me tell you about an embarrassing moment…

So I know that I am kind of a big cat but I couldn’t possibly be that big! Well, maybe you can tell me. After I got settled in on my first day in my new home, I had to use the bathroom. Although when I went to dig for a good spot, I could barely turn around. I thought, “This is odd.” This litter box was way too small for me! Since when does that happen to a cat? Hilary and Brittany saw that I was having trouble and bought me a new litter box. This one was a little bigger but I was still kicking sand out on to the floor. It was such a mess in my new room. A couple days later, both my moms came home with another new litter box. This one kind of looked like a cave but I decided to try it anyways. After forcing the flap open with my face, I finally gained access. It was dark in there! Once again I could barely turn around but I managed better this time. Every time I kicked, the sand stayed in the box too. When I stepped out, there was even a mat to wipe my feet on. How nice.
