Love Sick: Sexting

Love Sick: Sexting
Click for source.

As I’m sure most everyone knows by now, sexting has become a popular form of foreplay for couples who are both dating and just hooking up.

It is something that has often come under fire due to pictures being posted online without permission or football players penises becoming the hot topic in the news.

Most experts advise that you don’t send pictures of yourself to your lover because you never know what that person is going to do with it or who is going to end up seeing it.

Love sick is not that kind of column.

In an age where technology has become the most common form of communication, what better way to keep your love life exciting than spice things up with sexy pictures throughout the day? By the time you and your lover make it into each other’s arms, you’ll be dying to get down to business.

However, obviously you should have some concerns about sending nude-y pictures of yourself.

Here’s my prescription for hassle-free sexting:

  1. Ask yourself: How well do I know this person? Have we had a solid relationship for at least a year or did I just meet him in the bathroom of a bar last night? If the latter is your answer, I’d think twice about sending a picture.
  2. Have you ever known this person to be vengeful? If they have the type of personality where they exact revenge on those who have hurt them, what do you think will happen to those pictures when you break his little heart?
  3. Have his friends shown him pictures of girls on their phones? If so, he might be reciprocating.
  4. When taking the photo, don’t include your face in the picture. That way, if it ever does unfortunately get online, no one will know it’s you.
  5. Delete the pictures off of his phone after sending them. He doesn’t need to hold onto them.
  6. And finally, if the idea of anyone other than your boyfriend seeing naked pictures of you makes you want to become a nun so no one will ever see your ta-ta’s, then just don’t send them, it’s not worth it. If your boyfriend begs and begs you for a sexy picture, get creative and grab a pen and paper and create a sexy self portrait. He can’t say that you didn’t try and he’ll probably get a laugh out of it.
