I love weddings, I do.  I can’t help it.  The idea of a wedding is wonderfully simple.  A party to celebrate love.  However, these parties can get expensive and they can be very wasteful.  For starters, a wedding dress, which is made of expensive, usually synthetic fabric, is only meant to be worn once.  What.  A.  Waste.  But there is hope for the eco-conscious bride.  Thread Head Creations uses natural, un-dyed, fabric for their dresses.  I like the romantic, feminine Jane.  And Conscious Clothing uses organic hemp silk for their dresses.  Finally, if you just can’t find an eco-conscious dress you’re happy with, the I Do Foundation is an organization that provides opportunities to donate to charities through wedding-related purchases, like jewelry, stationary, favors and even donating that dress after the big day.
