Character Wear: Angela Montenegro

Two common portrayals of current TV women are the tough, yet moral type, and the cute, free-spirited, bohemian type.  It’s  rare, however, that a TV character is both, but  Angela Montenegro from Bones is just that.  From the very beginning of the show, she has been the lone artist in a sea of scientists.  Yet she can still hold her ow; even though she’s less logical than the rest of the team, she often provides key elements that catch the killer.  In addition to being the coolest, most charming girl on TV, she also has a fun, beautiful sense of fashion, and she managed to nab the gorgeous Hodgins, my personal dream man!

Angela is an artist, and her style is full of color and vibrancy, as expected.  But, it also has an element of refinement which comes from working with so many more scientific people.  When you mimic her style, start with the boots.  A pair of light colored booties with some sort of unique detail, like the fringe on this pair, would look awesome.  Next some sheer black tights.  A traditional wrap dress adheres to the more refined parts of her style, but an artsy, cool pattern makes it totally funky.  Use some light makeup with a bit of a smokey eye, and wave your hair and you’re ready.  Angela is a free spirit, doing what she wants to make the world a more beautiful place, and when you dress like her, try to make the world more beautiful too!
