The Style Guru: Neon Brights

Neon is rocking for Summer 2012 and it’s the perfect antidote to the sickly sweet sorbets that are everywhere.  I’ve normally steered clear of neon due to my sun starved Irish skin, but I can get away with flashes of  brights like this stylish lady below.   Neon clutches, shoes or bangles will make your outfit pop.  Don’t be afraid to mix pattern with neon colors, just make sure you don’t look like you’re on your way to a rave!

Freshen up a florescent top with crisp whites.  Finding a complimentary color for such bright colors can be daunting, so mixing it with a pastel shade of the same hue keeps the outfit minimal.

This look is for the slightly more brave.  Psychedelic, tribal and striped print will be huge this summer, especially in bright colors.  You can block color it or tone it down with whites or blacks.
