Beauty Box: Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant

There are many things I love about summer. Visits to the beach, basking in the warm sun, and getting to wear sundresses every single day. However, there is one major thing I hate about summer: sweaty armpits.

Gross, right? But we’re all mammals which means we all sweat, some more than others. I’m unfortunately on the sweatier side of the spectrum. Years ago, to combat this problem, I was forced to use the only clinical strength antiperspirants on the market, Certain Dri. This antiperspirant definitely kept me dry, but there were many things I hate about it. It’s just an antiperspirant, so it did not have a lovely floral scent to it, meaning I had to apply deodorant in addition to it. It stung really bad if you put it on too soon after shaving and it was a roll-on antiperspirant, which I hate.

Lucky for me, in the past few years deodorant companies have finally become aware of the fact that women sweat too and they need something stronger than what was being offered to fight those dreaded pit stains. Secret Clinical Strength deodorant is not the only clinical strength deodorant on the market now (Dove offers a similar product), but I feel it’s the best one out there. It comes in a variety of scents (I use ooh-la-la lavender) and it works wonders at keeping me dry throughout the day. The only fault I’ve found with it is that it’s a solid gel formula, so you do have to be careful about it not getting on your clothes. The trick is to let it dry completely before getting dressed.

The bottom-line is that Secret Clinical Strength can keep me dry even on the hottest days in the Arizona summer, making it basically my armpit guardian angel.
