Beauty Box: Naked2

To me, the hardest part about doing my makeup is getting all of the colors to not only blend together, but also to stand out from one another without looking like I am in the circus. Mixing and matching eyeshadow’s together has never been something that I have been well, to be honest good at. I always end up putting on too much of one color or not enough of an accent or highlighter to achieve beautiful eyes. So, my solution is to well, not wear any at all.

But then enter college, getting ready to go out, everyone has their makeup done so well, and of course all of the girls have their smokey eyes on ready to hit the town. Me on the other hand, I have on my safe colors that you can’t really tell are there, but were noticeable enough to do the trick. I have a decent size collection of different eyeshadow’s in a wide array of colors, but I never really used them to their full advantage. College definitely changed that, I learned how to create the best “smokey” eye and “natural” eye for me and now I cannot stay away from eye shadow.

I have recently got the Naked2 Palette by Urban Decay and I am in love! This palette offers 12 different shades ranging from a light Champaign color called Foxy to a dark black titled Blackout. This assortment of shadows goes from the softest building gradually into pinks, browns, grays, and finally reaching black. I experimented with this palette and can say it is my new favorite. I am in love with the light pink shade Bootycall as it has a little extra shimmer perfect for a highlight.

Although $50 a pop, this product is definitely worth it. With 12 shades there are limitless possibilities of looks to be achieved. I am very impressed with this new palette by Urban Decay, especially since these shadows actually stay on! I do not have to worry about reapplying and checking my makeup every 10 minutes when I am out!
