Beauty Box: Befine Exfoliating Cleanser

The winter can be really harsh on skin. The weather causes dry patches, peeling, and redness. One of my biggest annoyances is dry skin, so I am really anal about moisturizing my face in the winter. However, sometimes even ultra moisturizing cream is enough to keep my skin looking fresh and bright. One thing that does really help is using an exfoliating scrub.

Scrubs are great because the little granules in scrub help slough away the dead, dry skin on your face, revealing the more supple skin below. There are many scrubs out on the market. Some are designed for those with acne, for those with sensitive skin, or for those who just want to use something great smelling on their face. You can even make your own scrub! However, there is one scrub I’ve tried that I recommend over others. Befine’s Exfoliating Cleanser made with brown sugar, sweet almonds, and oats is a suburb product.

Made with all-natural ingredients, this scrub isn’t for people who are looking to get rid of acne. However, used just every other day, this scrub is perfect for winter skin shedding. The granules in this scrub are a little coarser than a lot of scrubs I’ve tried, so I wouldn’t say it’s a gentle scrub. But because they are coarser, the are great at getting rid of the dead skin. These granules are also different from other scrubs I’ve used in that they dissolve as your massaging it onto your face. I prefer that over scrubs where you have to wash the granules off because the dissolving makes it feel like you’re getting a deeper clean. The best part about this product is the smell. Because of its’ ingredients, there are no harsh smelling chemicals, just the natural sweet smell of brown sugar. Once I even accidentally got some in my mouth and it tasted great, though it’s probably not a good idea to eat it.

At $25 for 4 fl oz’s, I’d say it’s a pretty good deal. You only need to use a little bit at a time, so it lasts forever. Plus, if you just search the internet, you can find people selling it for much cheaper! I highly recommend this product for the winter season, or whenever your skin decides to molt off of you.
