Character Wear: Stephanie Plum

Last week my friends and I went to see One for the Money, the new Katherine Heigl movie based on the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich.  As an avid reader of all the Plum novels (there are over 20 of them!) I was a little worried about how my favorite awkward bounty hunter was going to translate to the big screen, but she was great! Katherine Heigl’s impressive Jersey accent helped a lot, but so did her wardrobe!

This heroine is easy-going, tough when she needs to be, and funny, and her clothes definitely reflect that.  Dark wash skinny jeans are perfect for tucking into mid calf flat brown boots.  A blue tank top is a great burst of color for the outfit, layered underneath a camel leather jacket that hits at the hips. For some bling get a gold monogram necklace, I used M for Madeline. A thick brown belt ties the outfit all together. Stephanie Plum isn’t perfect, no one is, but she’s real, she’s loyal, and she’s spunky, what a great combination!
