Character Wear: Chloe (Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23)

The key to looking good and feeling great is without a doubt having self-confidence, and who better embodies confidence then Chloe from the new television series Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23?  This show is centered around the New York City party girl, Chloe, who takes in June, a little blond mid-westerner, as her new roommate. Sooner than later June sees the true colors of this con-artist she has found herself living with. This dark-haired, devilish diva makes her debut on screen with savvy style and an amped-up attitude.

Chloe has a dark personality highlighted with brief moments of empathy much like her dark ensembles highlighted with a statement piece.  This outspoken woman’s style can be described as rocker chic with a touch of sophistication.  Achieving this look can be simple. All you need is a few basic items you may already have on hand!  Start with a pair of black skinny jeans, which can virtually be found at any women’s clothing store.  Black skinny jeans are a staple for any wardrobe and look great on many different body types, so don’t be afraid to splurge on this piece! Chloe is seen in a cropped, English flag tee, but why not show a little pride for our country with a distressed, American flag tank from Forever 21.  Any T-shirt or tank would work for this ensemble, but by pairing those black jeans with a pop of color will provide contrast giving your look that interesting statement piece. On top of the tank Chloe adds a black three-quarter sleeve structured blazer.  Nasty Gal carries a sharp edged blazer that would be perfect layered over the tee giving this outfit a formal twist.  Then step out in confidence with a pair of strappy, black pumps to turn heads as you own your new look.  Accessorize with a pair of long drop chain earrings and a short simple necklace to finalize Chloe’s intense attire.

From Chloe’s eye-catching outfits we can see where she gets her confidence.  So the next time you’re feeling a little sassy try on some black skinnies, a black blazer and an eye popping tee to channel your inner Chloe.  But don’t take the sass too far because no one can “trust the b—- in apartment 23.”
