Character Wear: Annie Edison

Since this is my last Character Wear column, because my internship is ending, I thought I’d go out by talking about my favorite character on one of my favorite shows on TV (which happens to be on tonight, go watch it!), Community! Annie Edison is the hyper-organized, compassionate, most realistic character in the study group, which is filled with quirky people who are real characters with real issues making their way through life, one ridiculous situation after another.

Annie is a mild control freak and she likes to keep everything just so; ordered and neat.  Her clothes absolutely follow suit.  She almost never wears pants, but instead favors short skirts.  I picked one with a bright, fun color to show off her fun personality.  A white tee provides the anchor, and a complementary cardigan with an interesting detail, like a ruffle or a tie, brings the attention up to your face.  Some cute Mary Jane flats make your outfit sweet and adorable. She almost always pins her hair back, so bobby pins are a necessity.  Her makeup is very minimal, so some Burt’s Bees is all that I would use, just to soften your lips a little bit.  A gold watch gives you a little bling, but also helps you get to all your classes or meetings on time, just like Annie!  This character is so sweet and smart, and I hope that when you mimic her style, you mimic her attitude too! Thanks for joining me on this Character Wear ride!
