Character Wear: Annie Wilson

With summer right around the corner I really wanted to give our readers something simple and stylish for those long summer days.  I was trying to think of characters with hip summer styles and who better than the babes of Beverly Hills 90210! With those hot California days I knew Annie Wilson (Shenae Grimes) could be found sporting fun and flirty ensembles.  Since moving into the famous 90210, Annie had found herself dunked in drama and back out again with the proud personalities of Beverly Hills High.  Now in the fourth season, Annie is attending college and beginning to deal with new struggles she never expected to encounter.

Annie Wilson is your sweet, girl-next-door type with a fabulously simple style that anyone can  rock. Summer is near, so her style is perfect to mimic when looking for easy, everyday attire.  She is often seen with a pair of dark wash denim shorts, but try spicing it up with an ombre washed, high-waisted jean short.  High-waisted shorts are the “in” thing this summer so be sure to incorporate a few pairs into your wardrobe.  Tucked into these denim shorts can be a simple plain white tank, which can be frugally purchased at Forever 21.  You could really go with any color here, but white nicely reflects those hot summer sun rays.

Annie wears a white button-up layered on top of her white tank, so I found an adorable lace trimmed tunic that adds a little twist next to a plain button-up.  Even though you might ditch the shoes to skip through the sand, a ankle-laced, black studded leather gladiator sandal goes perfect with this outfit.

Finally to accessorize this beach friendly look add a braided bracelet with a pop of color, a pair of aviators to block out some sun, and an over-the-shoulder leather bag to store that sunblock.
