Linked to Fashion: Pinterest Inspiration

I think by now we’re all aware of the internet pinboard, Pinterest. You can pin anything and everything from food to fashion. It’s a great way to connect with people and find inspiration. The Next Great Generation’s Lindsey Jones wrote a great column on how to “Thrift Like a Pro with Pinterest.” I think she’s on to something here!

Lindsey tells us the four key instructions to learning how to Thrift via Pinterest.

1. Start a personal style board. You can’t go anywhere until you get started so sign on to pinterest and create your own personal style board with everything you like in the fashion world. Don’t be shy!

2. Follow, Follow, Follow! Find friends who’s style piques your interest and strangers alike! You can find great inspiration from anyone!

3. Pin High, Buy Low. Pin things that you find visually stimulating, but not what you might be able to afford. You can pin a cute Chanel dress and find a similar style for much cheaper out in the real world. Pinterest is best used for inspiration!

4. Crafts and D.I.Y. There are many tutorials having to do with fashion and beauty. A D.I.Y. project might be just what you need to spice up your wardrobe on a dime or even free if you already have some of the thins included!

Check out my personal style board on Pinterest here and get to pinning!
