The Style Guru: Hey Shorty

There’s a rumor going around that you girls are too shy to wear shorts. Shocking! Shorts are the easiest thing to wear in this weather.   Summer weekends usually involve lounging around at a BBQ,  playing tennis at the beach and generally taking part in more activities than we’re used to.  Comfortable clothes are essential. So get your legs preened and polished, because I have put together four different ways to wear shorts.

Neon Surfin’

Neon is for the girls who want to stand out for all the right reasons at the beach this summer.  Bright, bold and colorful, you will definitely grab the attention of every shirtless surfer dude.

From Work to Beach Party

For working ladies who still find time to hit the beach in the evenings, this chic look is for you.  Don’t miss out on the last bit of sunshine by changing out of your work gear.  Pop on a bikini underneath a light blouse and shorts for an easy- breezy yet sophisticated look.  Bring along an oversized beach bag to add a casual feel to your outfit and to fit everything you need for the night ahead.

Bohemian Bay

The beach makes me want to get in touch with my hippie side.  I can’t think of anything more fun than going barefoot and wearing flowers in my hair.  Go minimal with make-up and pile on the ethnic accessories to complete your look.  Bracelets and rings can be a bit uncomfortable when you’re at the seaside. Instead wear beads in your hair, feather headbands, and necklaces.

Garden Party

 Work to Beach

Tropical prints always make feel so happy.  Mismatch them together for a jungle inspired effect.  If you’re nervous about exposing your legs, try drawing the attention away by wearing a statement bag or something distracting on the top.  Bring out your best assets (everyone has good assets) to make you feel more confident.  Remember that you are your worst critic and people don’t usually notice what you notice.
