Character Wear: Sherrie Christian (Rock of Ages)

Characters Sherrie and Drew, both Hollywood newcomers, meet on the Sunset Strip and discover they share the mutual dream to make it big.  With rock ‘n’ roll telling the story of their romance, who knows where life will take them.

An adaptation of the Broadway musical “Rock of Ages” comes rocking into theaters featuring an incredible cast all decked out in perfect rock ‘n’ roll inspired costumes.

Sherrie, a bubbly blonde, mixes her hometown roots with the big city to create her cute country-rock style. For the main piece of this outfit I chose a tiered black lace skirt.  The tiers keep its country flare while the black lace gives it a rocker chic twist!  Tucked into it, a plain black tank will keep the focus on the skirt, giving your outfit a variety of textures.  If you’re trying to add some color into your wardrobe, you could make the swap from a black tank to a red or blue tank top. Every good ole’ country girl always has her trusted jean jacket on hand, ready to layer or spice up any outfit.  Sherrie wears a light-wash cropped denim jacket over her black tank, so I chose one very similar with a slight distressed look.  To really top it off, add some “blinged out” broaches or pins. To go completely rock ‘n’ roll with the shoes, try a black studded lace-up platform to really standout from the crowd.  For accessories, try large spiked silver hoops and thick bands of black bracelets.  I chose black gummy bracelets adorned with sliver crosses and black spikes to keep the rock ‘n’ roll theme rolling. Sherrie may look sweet and innocent, but her studded heals and spiked earrings tell a whole different story.  Try out her look and you will be ready to hit the stage with all the rock stars in “Rock of Ages.”
