Kingsley’s Corner: A Big Stretch
Stretching and cuddling are some of my favorite things to do. All of us cats love to stretch. Especially after a nap, it feels so good to just expand all of our limbs and reach into infinity and beyond. I am a pretty flexible cat so I guess everyone (including my moms) were surprised to see me lounge completely on my back and then to stretch with my arms over my head and my feet straight out. I never really saw an expression like that before. First it was like, “oh my gosh, I’ve never seen a cat do that…” then it was like, “ aww, soo cute!!” This is a good little tip for all the cats listening in: Whenever I want a little extra attention, I’ll just do that move. It gets them every time! I even started rolling over and around the floor. Almost everything I do seems to cause the same reaction which is the, “Aww, Kingsley why are you so cute?” I like it though. It’s in my genes to absolutely crave human attention. I’m so glad I was blessed with such a nice figure too! I love that everyone seems like they want to hold me, pet my tummy and play with me. It’s such a nice coincidence that I love stretching and people love to watch me stretch. Cuddling is even better. I love snuggling up next to whoever is on the couch or on their computer. Then when I do, they pet me and scratch behind my ears and my neck. Sometimes, when the only person home is sitting in a chair I will jump on their lap. Hil and Brit think it’s funny because my body spreads over their entire lap and the rest of the chair. After a while, Hil or Brit will hold me in a sort of sitting position -kind of like a small child. There is just so much love to go around.
So, not to sound at all conceited but who doesn’t love cats? We are quiet, we don’t drool and our favorite thing to do is to be with you humans.How could anyone resist those characteristics?
