Conscious Fashion: Coffee Chic

Oh Etsy, it’s no surprise that you’ve managed to do it again. You’ve lured me in for hours and left me with a list of must-have items. Combining two of my favorites, coffee and fashion, Shaggy Baggy is a new Etsy love of mine. Shaggy Baggy specializes in reusable, eco-friendly totes. All totes are handmade and designed with a modern yet rustic flare. Founder Sharon also tries to limit material waste whenever possible. For example, her new zipper pouches are created from the corners of the buckets and totes she has made. But let’s get back to my favorite piece, the coffee tote.

Sharon gets her coffee sacks from the Caribou Coffee Headquarters in New Brighton, MN. After breathing new life into this often overlooked material, Sharon is able to create a unique handbag. The totes are one of a kind and feature deep pockets and a key hook. The charming totes are full of character and would be perfect for a day at the beach. I can see it now: my tote is filled with a magazine, towel, snacks and sunscreen and I’m headed to the shore. These totes would also be great for the market, day-to-day shopping or even a school bag for books.
